So what's new for a company that has become synonymous with contact innovation? Well, today even the use of bimetal with its much-depleted use of precious metals is not immune to the skyrocketing market prices of the elements used. A new "non-contacting" sensor that does not use any form of wiper in favor of hall-effect magnets is also now challenging the technology. For a company named Micro Contacts this development (while we even supply precision parts for them) does not bode well. So what do we do?
